Privacy Policy & Terms of Use – Jukebox Time Machine

Last updated 14 October 2026 · version 2026-10-14

1. Who we are

Jukebox Time Machine is a free browser game operated by Wopkikker ("we", "us"). Questions, requests or complaints about privacy: peter@wopkikker.nl.

2. The short version

We do not ask you to create an account, we show no advertising, we use no analytics or tracking tools and we set no cookies ourselves. The music videos are played by YouTube. When you agree, YouTube and Google may process data about you as described below.

3. YouTube API Services

Jukebox Time Machine uses YouTube API Services: the YouTube embedded player (IFrame Player API) to play songs, and the YouTube Data API to check whether a video may be played in the game (for example whether it can be embedded and whether it is made for kids). By using Jukebox Time Machine you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

4. What we process ourselves

5. What YouTube and Google process

Nothing is loaded from YouTube or Google before you click "I agree". After that, your browser connects to YouTube/Google servers (for example youtube.com, googlevideo.com and googleapis.com) to load the player, the video and the video-check. YouTube and Google may store or read information on your device (such as cookies, local storage or similar technologies) and may collect data such as your IP address, device and browser information and what you watch, in line with the Google Privacy Policy. We do not control this and do not receive this data. You can manage cookies and site data in your browser settings and review Google's controls at the Google Privacy Policy page. Jukebox Time Machine never requests access to your Google account; if you ever granted an application access to your Google data you can review and revoke it at Google security settings.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Jukebox Time Machine itself sets no cookies. It uses one local-storage entry (jt_consent, see section 4). The YouTube player may set its own cookies or use device storage after you agreed (section 5). Videos that are made for kids are never played in the game.

7. Withdrawing your agreement

You can withdraw your agreement at any time: use the button below (it deletes jt_consent from your browser) or clear this site's data in your browser. The next time you open the game you will be asked again, and nothing from YouTube is loaded until you agree.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection. Because we do not keep personal data about you, we usually have nothing to show or delete, but you may contact us at peter@wopkikker.nl. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or with your local authority. For data processed by YouTube/Google, see the Google Privacy Policy.

9. Children

Jukebox Time Machine is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children. The game only plays videos that YouTube does not label as made for kids.
